Sparks: Should I Tell Others About Jesus?

This week, children are going to learn whether they should share the gospel with others.

God wants us to tell others about His rescue plan for us. He wants us to tell everyone around us about this great news! Many people still do not know why we need Jesus. The Bible tells us that no one in this world is perfect to claim to be good enough before God.

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23)

No one can measure up to God’s standard because He is holy. Just as the psalmist said,

“If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?” (Psalm 130:3)

No one could ever survive if God kept a record of our sins!

Therefore, we all need Jesus to be our Savior so that our sins can be forgiven. God knew that it’s impossible for us to save ourselves.  Therefore, He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for the world so that whoever choose to believe in Him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Jesus wants us to tell others how He had save us so that others have the opportunities to receive this wonderful gift from Him too.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

(Matthew 28:18-20)

T&T: Living By Grace Review

God’s undeserved gift of grace is freely given to everyone who trust Jesus as Savior. God continues to bless us with grace throughout our lives as the Holy Spirit teaches us how to be more like Jesus, how to obey, forgive, help and tell others the good news about God’s grace. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child.
1. How do you receive God’s grace?
2. Tell a story: Describe what you are doing with your life because you have received God’s grace. What’s different or should be different? How has your life’s trajectory been altered because you have received the grace of God?
3. What is something that you and/or your family can do this week to help someone and show them the love of Christ?
