During the worship session (9:15am-10:30am), they learn to sing praises to God with their wonderful voices and motions. They also learn God’s big story of redemption chronologically from Genesis to Revelation in deeper and wider perspective through LifeWay’s Gospel Project for Kids (younger kids). Teachers use various ways including story telling, video clip, discussion, timeline, maps, interactive activities and games to help kids understand God’s plan of salvation.
Again, we want our 1st-3rd graders to begin their spiritual journey by focusing on Jesus. We don’t want them to miss the point! Bible is not about stories, character building or memory verses, but it’s all about the gospel of Christ. We want them to be able to see how all these stories, characters, and events point to Jesus to tell ONE God’s BIG story.
During their Sunday school session (10:45am-12:00pm), 123Discovery kids break into smaller classes according to their ages to further enhance their Bible knowledge and Bible skills. 1st-2nd graders use David Cook’s Scripture Press which focuses on topical lessons such as God, Jesus, Worship, Prayer, Family, Service, etc. and 3rd graders started to sharpen their Bible skill through book-by-book study offered by LifeWay’s Explore the Bible For Kids.
To enable parents to partner with us in shepherding their child, our curricula provide take home pages and family app to allow parents to continue the discussions and lessons at home.
